Welcome to March is Reading Month! This years theme is "Reading is S'more fun!"

Sent home with your student(s) was a calendar with fun ways to read at home, with themed Friday's for the month of March! Be sure to get those minutes in!

📸 We would love to see how YOU are reading at home! Take a picture and email it to Ms. Sarah (brays@summerfield.k12.mi.us) or Mrs. Stephanie (lemert@summerfield.k1.2mi.us) and we will showcase every week!

Congratulations to Oliver, Cheyenne, Addy, and Kaileb for taking 2nd place in the Monroe County Science Challenge!! Great job Bulldogs!

Today a group of 3rd graders were selected to compete in the Monroe County Science Challenge. These students competed against other schools in the county where they completed challenges such as saving ice cubes, creating wind sails, launching rockets and creating structures to survive an earthquake! 🔍🚀

If you have a child—or know a family—who may be interested in GSRP for next year, we would love to hear from you! Children who turn 4 by September 2026, as well as gap-year children who turn 4 by December 2026, are eligible to apply.

We would be thrilled to welcome your children or someone you know to Summerfield and have them join our classroom community. Please complete the pre-application using the link provided. While it may feel early, applying sooner gives families the best chance of securing a spot.
