This November, we’re celebrating the incredible volunteers who make our school district such a wonderful place to learn, work, and grow. Their generosity and dedication truly make a difference! 🧡🖤
Our first spotlight goes to Mr. Josh Miller! 🌿
Mr. Miller has been volunteering his time and talents around our district for years — since at least 2016! He spends countless hours trimming hedges, pruning trees and shrubs, and sharing his expert advice to help us keep our campuses looking their best.
We’re so grateful for Mr. Miller's continued commitment and care for our schools. Thank you, Mr. Miller, for helping our district shine — inside and out! 🌳✨

If you are able to volunteer, please remember that a background check MUST be completed and approved. Forms are available through the Elementary Office, your students teacher, or on the district website.

🚨A FEW REMINDERS🚨
✨If there is rain, you are invited to join us in the Elementary School Gym. Please sit in the bleachers and the kids will parade through. A notice will be sent out by 1pm of any changes.
✨Absolutely NO MASKS OR WEAPONS of any kind can be worn or brought to school.

Flyers were sent home last week and are available in the office if needed. Money can be turned into the main office until class is full! There are still about half the spots left for each grade.

What a wonderful morning at Summerfield Schools!
We hosted our Fall Community Breakfast today, and it was such a great success! Our speakers shared valuable updates about what’s happening in and around our community, and it was inspiring to see so many people who make Petersburg and the surrounding area such an amazing place to live, work, and grow.
A huge thank-you to our outstanding student volunteers who helped make the morning run smoothly:
Elena Miller, Austin Taylor, Rylee Schiffler, and Claire Franzen – greeted our guests with warm smiles at the doors.
Jaeli Jones, Bethany Suydam, and Grace Raymond – managed check-in and name tags like pros.
Brea Olmstead, MaKenna Shipe, and Mia Samples – did an amazing job moderating the event!
Missed it? You can watch the full recorded breakfast here: https://youtube.com/live/eMvXBQIGGIA
Thank you to everyone who joined us and continues to make our community stronger every day!

We’re thrilled to welcome you to this special morning of connection, conversation, and community insight at Summerfield Jr/Sr High School! Enjoy a delicious breakfast starting at 7:45 AM, followed by an engaging lineup of local and county leaders beginning at 8:15 AM.
They’ll be sharing updates on key projects, initiatives, and opportunities shaping Petersburg and Monroe County — you won’t want to miss it!
This FREE, one-hour event is a great way to stay informed, meet neighbors, and be part of the positive momentum in and around our community.
We can’t wait to see you there!

Invites were sent home last week as a reminder and we also have some available here in the Elementary Office.
